We rebranded. Cardanit is the new BeePMN
The start
A lot has changed since ESTECO placed a bet on a new Research and Development project working on a BPMN editor back in 2013. Throughout the years the project became BeePMN, playing with the logo of a bee and the assonance with the BPMN standard. We later realized the pun couldn’t be fully understood.
We’ve now grown up and, to reflect this change, we wanted to give a new name, website and look and feel to a tool that is going to be more than a BPMN editor in the next few months.
New brand
After some in-depth research, market analysis and talking with some of our internal and external clients, we felt our brand had to be more global and show our editor is the definitive next generation collaborative tool for designing business processes.
A slick and elegant brand combined with many features, that no competitors can boast joint in the same tool, make Cardanit a modern instrument for business process management. We’ll be working steadily on new features to make your modeling experience smoother and smoother.
What the name stands for
The name pays tribute to Gerolamo Cardano, an Italian polymath, who perfected the Cardan shaft with universal joints, which allows the transmission of rotary motion at various angles. These very joints seemed to us like the connection between different BPMN elements and between BPMN and DMN (an important step we’re taking in the next few months). These very joints, being an engineering element, are also another connection to our roots coming from ESTECO. Finally, the suffix -it, makes it closer to Italy and to the IT world where we belong to.
What changes
Cardanit is going to be based on premium plans. We would like to give you a chance to see how the new editor works with a free trial of our Go plan.
At the end of the trial, you can decide whether to continue using Go, paying a fee, or switch to a limited Viewer free plan. This plan will still give you access to 5 projects you own (and more shared with you) with 30 elements maximum per each of these projects. However, you will still be able to see all your projects and export them, if need be. This also means that you will be able to create new projects or add new elements only if you are below your quota.
As explained earlier, in the next few months we will add another premium plan with new features including Decision Model and Notation. This change is taking place because we want to give you access to a new dynamic process modeling experience to optimize the business you analyze.
Keep a lookout for our evolved brand on our socials and our website. Here’s to the next exciting years ahead!
