Run parameters define the settings that control the overall execution of the simulation. These parameters allow you to configure the duration, start date, warmup period, and other key aspects to ensure that the simulation runs according to your desired conditions.
Run parameters are Scenario Parameters.

| Simulation name | Keep the default name or change it. Example default name: ‘ProjectName 2024-02-01 12:40’. This isn’t a BPSim parameter, but a naming convention included in Cardanit to help identify and manage simulations. |
| Duration | Specify how long the simulation will run. This should reflect the time frame you want to simulate. Duration can be expressed in short format or long format. |
| Start date | Choose the start date for the simulation. Date is expressed in ISO 8601 format. |
| Warmup | Set the warmup period during which no data is collected. This allows the system to stabilize before data collection begins. |
| Seed | Set a seed value for repeatable results. The seed must be a whole number. The default value is 0. |
